ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Rookie of the Year Award is the highest achievement award available to first year members of Galveston County 4-H. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. Galveston County 4-H may choose not to award the Rookie of the Year Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria.

• Must have completed his/her first year in Galveston County 4-H, no matter what age

• Must have completed at least one 4-H project

• Must have participated in one or more 4-H activities *see page 11 for list of activities

• Must have participated in one or more community service activities

• Must submit a 4-H Recordbook in the year they are to be considered for the award
